Musselburgh Windsor Community Football Club is dedicated to supporting our local community through various initiatives and ensuring we are inclusive and welcoming to all.

For the past 70 years we have been at the heart of the local community offering football to players of all ages. But we have recognised times have changed and we need to do more, and have introduced a range of support mechanisms for the wider Musselburgh community.

These have included:

• Almost half a tonne of food and essentials were recently collected and donated to the Trussell Trust East Lothian Foodbank. It is the intention to make this a more organised and regular occurrence which will be made easier when we have our own storage area, int turn simplifying drop-off.
• Introducing Mental Health First Aiders across the Club to ensure we support our players, parents, carers, coaches and members by providing a first point of contact who can point them in the correct direction to seek professional help.
• Organising Football Memories meetings to allow older members of the community to meet and reminisce about the beautiful game. Our extensive historical records and memorabilia are able to support and stimulate discussions about days gone by.
• Our Walking Football initiative for the 50+ age group, provides a gentle fitness programme that allows people to continue playing football later in life.
• We participate in the HTA Festival Parade each year, showcasing the Club to the wider community.
• Participating in the annual Musselburgh Communities Day, allows us to highlight what we have to offer and how the community can get involved.
• We work with Active Schools East Lothian to ensure local primary and high school pupils have the best access to football possible.
• We work closely with Police Scotland and East Lothian Council to help reduce anti-social behaviour in the community.
• Over the last 5 years we have donate football kit and equipment to some of the poorest countries around the world including Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania and Albania. Hundreds of Afghan refugee children in Albania are now sporting Musselburgh Windsor strips and training kit and we will continue to donate kit and equipment as much as we can.

We are not resting on our laurels and continue to work closely with East Lothian Council to explore new ways of supporting the local community.
