Coaching

The Club are in the fortunate position where the vast majority of our 180 coaches are parents, carers or relatives of our players and volunteer their time to help our kids be the best footballers they can be.

Everyone involved is PVG registered and is required to attend Scottish Football Association courses to ensure they reach a minimum coaching standard.

Our coaches who coach our small-sided age groups must attend the following courses as a bare minimum:

• Introduction to Coaching (Level 1.1)
• Children’s Coaching Certificate (Level 1.2)
• Managing Children’s Well-being
• Children’s Wellbeing in Scottish Football (E-Learning)

In addition to the above, when a team transitions to 11 a-side, coaches must attend:

• Youth/Adult Introduction to Coaching (Level 1.1)
• Youth/Adult Coaching Certificate (Level 1.2)

We also encouraged our coaches to continue their learning and development by funding their attendance on other courses on the SFA Children’s Pathway and Main (Youth/Adult) Pathway.

Our youngest players embark on the ‘Wee Windsor Way’ a specially designed pathway for players of all abilities to participate and enjoy football in a fun and safe environment where inclusion is as important as ability.

Our aim is to create technical innovative footballers who comfortable on the ball and confident in their ability to make decisions on their own, while being respectful of opponents and excellent ambassadors of the Club.

We also utilise the services of Technical Edge who provide our kids with expert coaching from UEFA qualified coaches and specialise in developing younger players through ball mastery, technique development from pre-school through to 9 a-side game.
