Goalkeeper Academy
Established in 2005, our Goalkeeper Academy aims to give our aspiring goalkeepers the basic tools to develop and reach their full potential. Overseen by GKA Director, Ian Gillon, our GKA has grown to encompass small-sided, 11’s and girl’s football.
We recognise that being a goalkeeper isn’t just about making saves. The goalkeeper is the lynchpin in any successful team and it is our aim to provide high quality, fun training sessions that encourage our players to be the best they can.

- Positioning
- Handling
- Diving
- One-on-ones
- Shot stopping
- Communication
- Defending and organising set pieces
- Distribution
- Decision-making
- Dealing with crosses
It is our hope that our goalkeepers will be confident and focussed at training and on the pitch, leading their teams to success.
